Gift Giving
Every year for birthday's and holidays loved ones give AJ gifts that he won't play with. For some reason people think by not telling me what they are getting they are keeping the surprise. NEWSFLASH, AJ doesn't understand the whole gift giving phenomenon, so telling me what you are getting him will probably end up saving you some money. Now I try not to be too overbearing, but I have a pretty good idea of what the kid will like and not like. I thought I would make things easier for everyone this year by creating an amazon wish list. (look over to the left). Happy shopping.

How did that work out for you? Miles has had a wish list for over 2 years now.....and people buy some things off the list and some things that have nothing to do with the list.
It really, really frustrates me. Because of his autism I need to be really selective about what he gets....and a lot of people still don't understand.
nope didn't work out at all. NO ONE worked off the list and now we are stuck with a tickle-me-elmo extreme that he will not play with. I may take it back next week while he's in school.
I'm gonna have to think of a different game plan as far as gifts go.
CASH IS KING ... But since SOMEBODY feels that is "tacky," just tell people to give gift cards to Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Baby Gap, Gap Kids ... basically anyplace we would buy things for the children.
When the gift certificates are spent we can send the people "Thank You" pictures of the kids with their "goodies."
But what do I know ... I only try to come up with ideas that make sense ... LOL!
