Well this past Thursday we took AJ to JFK hospital for a feeding evaluation. The therapist was very nice and actually listened as she observed him. AJ was a bit annoyed since he was hungry and there were no fries on the menue...lol. He did eat a banana nut muffin which was a HUGE surprise. He didn't touch the other items at all.
We go back this coming Thursday for a speech evaluation. He's actually picked up a couple of new words this week. He actually told me to "rewind" a movie he was watching. As you can guess my mouth hit the ground when he said it...lol.
In April he will have an evaluation for occupational therapy. It sucks because it seems there is a 1 year waiting period to get into any of the programs. Hopefully after the evaluation reports are done we can go to a private office and get him in asap.
Evaluation time is always stressful. We KNOW his diagnosis but they still insist on waisting my time. Oh well, what can I do but go with the flow.
